<br /> As residents of Orange County and land owners either on or
<br /> very close to potential airport sites #8 and #11 , we would like
<br /> to emphatically express olir unanimous views about positioning
<br /> the airport right in the midst of our residential and
<br /> agricultural land.
<br /> We all invested not only our time and money, but our
<br /> lifestyles into the area because of the quality of the land and
<br /> environment, its location and its zoning of
<br /> Agricultural-Residential .
<br /> The land is zoned Agricultural-Residential , is being used
<br /> by the people as Agricultural-Residential and should remain
<br /> zoned as Agricultural-Residential .
<br /> In the name of progress, this airport will pollute our
<br /> wetlands, the air, the natural environment, create excessive
<br /> noise levels and destroy the value of our agricultural and
<br /> residential land.
<br /> We feel it is totally unjust for the Commissioners to
<br /> exercise their power of Eminent Domain to force us away from our
<br /> land for merely speculative reasons for the need of the airport .
<br /> We unitedly agree not to sell our land for the use of the
<br /> airport , and feel it will be financially unpractical for the
<br /> county to pay for the destruction the airport will cause to the
<br /> quality of our land, improvements and lifestyles.
