To: Orange County Commissioners Moses Carey, Don Willhoit , Stephen Halkiotis Shirley Marshall and John Hartwell As residents of Orange County and land owners either on or very close to potential airport sites #8 and #11 , we would like to emphatically express our unanimous views about positioning the airport right in the midst of our residential and agricultural land. We all invested not only our time and money , but our lifestyles into the area because of the quality of the land and environment , its location and its zoning of Agricultural-Residential . The land is zoned Agricultural-Residential , is being used by the people as Agricultural-Residential and should remain zoned as Agricultural-Residential . In the name of progress, this airport will pollute our wetlands , the air , the natural environment , create excessive noise levels and destroy the value of our agricultural and residential land. We feel it is totally unjust for the Commissioners to exercise their power of Eminent Domain to force us away from our land for merely speculative reasons for the need of the airport . qe unitedly agree not to sell our land for the use of the 4itport , and feel it will be financially unpractical for the county to pay for the destruction the airport will cause to the quality of our land, improvements and lifestyles .
