S <br /> Petition to the Orange County Commissioners <br /> Orange County Citizens in Opposition to the <br /> Proposed Airport. <br /> • <br /> We, the undersigned residents of Orange County, are strongly <br /> opposed to a regional airport in western Orange County. <br /> Western Orange County is a farming and residential area which a <br /> major airport will demean and devalue. The noise and other <br /> forms of pollution unavoidably produced by the proposed <br /> airport will substantially degrade the quality of life for <br /> everyone in its vacinity and will devalue land for residential and <br /> farming puposes within a radius of several miles from the <br /> airport site. Such development is wholly inconsistent with the <br /> present and traditional use of western Orange county. <br /> Furthermore, there is no demonstated need for an additional <br /> airport. The convenience of a few aircraft owners who alledgedly <br /> now have no place to keep their airplanes does not justify the <br /> destruction of rural Orange County. <br /> OA ...........
