Article 20.3.2 also requires the submission of the <br /> following information: <br /> a. A fully-dimensioned map at a scale of not less than <br /> one hundred (100) feet to the inch showing the land <br /> which would be covered by the proposed amendment, <br /> and a legal description of the land. <br /> The applicant has provided the map and legal <br /> description. <br /> b. The manner in which the proposed amendment will <br /> carry out the intent and purpose of the adopted <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> The applicant contends that this amendment would <br /> carry out the intent and purpose of the Plan since <br /> it lies within an area designated by the Town of <br /> Hillsborough as being within its Future Service <br /> Area, and an area that has seen a number of new <br /> residential developments over the past 20 years. <br /> The applicant also bases his contention on the fact <br /> that many of the same attributes that made Ten Year <br /> Transition a correct designation for the previous <br /> University Station Associates amendment are present <br /> also for his proposed amendment. Lastly, the <br /> applicant does make mention of possible <br /> consideration for Planning Unit Development <br /> allowing a more comprehensive approach to <br /> development of the area. <br /> COMPARISON WITH LOCATIONAL STANDARDS <br /> In an analysis of a Comprehensive Plan amendment, the <br /> requested designation is evaluated for compatibility with the <br /> applicable Locational Criteria in Section 3.4 of the Land Use <br /> Element of the Comprehensive Plan. In the section below, <br /> COLLIES means that the area being evaluated is compatible <br /> with the locational critieria. DOES NOT COMPLY means that it <br /> is not compatible.
