University Lake is augmented by raw <br /> water 'storage in the former American Stone Quarry NC54 <br /> west of Carrboro. The 20 year safe yield of the quarry <br /> estimated at 0.5 mgd, giving OWASA atotal currentr20k year <br /> safe yield of 14 mgd with the completion <br /> Reservoir. <br /> OWASA is interconnected conneatian isethrough Hillsborough <br /> systems. The Durham <br /> can supply up to 3.9 mgd.
