_ r 110 wir..........,.......E_
1 Mrs. Elinor Moore Irvin
2912 Jones Ferry Rd.
Chapel Hill, NC 27516 estin ••
iftidelinemet. -
may 2 , . ; .. 1
1
Mr. Moses Carey, Jr.
Chairman Orange County Board of Commissioners
P.O.Bax 8181
Hillsborough, N.C. 27278
Dear Mr. Carey:
I wish to express my opposition to the proposed MbLennan'ts
Farm Relidential Planned Development on Bowden Road. The density of 14
houses on. 37 acres is more than twice that recommended. by. the consultants
Camp, Dresser and Mckee for the University Lake watershed. N4over, the
community wastewater system planned for the development is a cause for
very serious concern, since such systems have been shown to be
unsatisfactory. In addition, so many houses present problems with
possible leaking fuel tanks, impervi0 areas, toxic materials in run-off.
The possibility of similar development of additional land , if this plan
is approved, componnas the hazard to the watershed.
Sincerely yours,
.
..-a.....4.1..4itlavek.."La.1.,Ark..4,
Elinor Moore Irvin
. .
- . .
