I am <br /> enclosing copies of the resolutions and ordinance adopted by the Board last <br /> Tuesday. In addition, the Aldermen requested that we amend our Land Use <br /> Ordinance to require that an undisturbed setback be left on properties <br /> bordering Duke Forest properties at the joint boundary between Duke Forest <br /> and the Transition Area. <br /> I am enclosing a copy of that proposed Land Use Ordinance Text <br /> Amendment,submitted to you for the County's review and comment in <br /> accordance with Section 2.6.0 of the Joint Planning Agreement The <br /> Aldermen are scheduled to hold a public hearing on this amendment on May <br /> 23, 1989, and the Planning Board will hear the amendment at its May 4, <br /> 1989 meeting. This schedule is necessarily tight in order for the public <br /> hearing to be held and a decision.made by the Aldermen on this text <br /> amendment before.the County Commissioners'meeting on June 5, 1989. <br /> I am sorry that the schedule is so tight,but hope that you will have time <br /> to review the amendment before the deadline for the Aldermen's packets, <br /> which is May 16, 1989.
