" <br /> MOTION: Pilkey moved approval of the Planning Staff <br /> recommendation with the addition of the statement <br /> proposed by Collins. Seconded by Best. <br /> VOTE: 6 in favor- <br /> 3 opposed (Lewis, Yuhasz, Jacobs - all objected <br /> to the reference to the size limitation) . <br /> a. Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br /> (2) LUP-2-89 Activity Node E-2-Eno Township <br /> Presentation by David Stancil. <br /> A copy of the abstract with presentation and <br /> the Planning Staff recommendation is an <br /> attachment to these minutes on pages • <br /> MOTION: Best moved approval of the recommendation <br /> presented by the Planning Staff. Seconded by <br /> Pilkey. <br /> There was discussion of a previous greenhouse <br /> operation at the site but Stanch' indicated he <br /> could not verify dates of that operation. <br /> Lewis asked-when the applicant purchased the <br /> property. Stancil responded 1984 and the <br /> incorrect zoning of GC-4 was applied in 1981. <br /> Yuhasz asked if the applicant had to purchase any <br /> kind of permits during the period from the time <br /> he purchased the property until the present <br /> application. Stancil responded no. <br /> Lewis asked if this issue had all occurred due to <br /> a County error. Stancil responded yes, that and <br /> the inconsistency between the plans . Stancil <br /> continued that Staff is attempting a compromise <br /> that will allow the property owner to continue <br /> his use while not introducing the transition area <br /> into this environmentally sensitive quadrant. <br /> The property owner would not be non-conforming if <br /> the EC-5 designation is applied. <br /> Yuhasz expressed concern with protecting the park <br />
