It is <br /> zoned Residential-1 with an overlay district of Major <br /> Transportation Corridor, and designated as Twenty-Year <br /> Transition in the Land Use Element of the Comprehen- <br /> sive Plan for Orange County. The 1987 traffic counts <br /> were 1300 trips per day for Lawrence Road, and 2000 <br /> trips per day for Old NC 10 (near its intersection <br /> with NC 86) . Adjacent land uses include interstate <br /> highway, utility right-of-way, residential property, <br /> Duke Forest (Class 4), and undeveloped woodland. <br /> The total acreage of the tract is 70.78 acres. Forty- <br /> six (46) lots are proposed which average 1.4 acres in <br /> size. These lots will be served by public roads and by <br /> individual wells and septic tanks. There is one <br /> existing residence on the property. <br /> The preliminary plan has been reviewed by all <br /> applicable agencies whose comments are attached. <br /> _ —= - - Orange County Erosion Control has- indicated a need for - <br /> an additional drainage easement between lots 36, 37, <br /> and 38.
