Auction to be held Saturday, May 20, 1989 <br /> at the Public works Department located on Highway ,86, <br /> Hillsborough. <br /> Quotations from local auctioneers were solicited with <br /> Phillip Walker Auctions submitting the lowest respon- <br /> sible fee (4.75%) . A lower percentage fee was submit- <br /> 'ted but the quotation was unsigned. It has been the <br /> policy in the past not to consider unsigned bids. <br /> BACKGROUND: General Statute 160A-270(b) requires this procedure to <br /> dispose of surplus personal property. <br /> Funds generated from the sale of the surplus personal <br /> property goes to Orange County. Funds from sale of <br /> abandoned and confiscated property to be evenly <br /> divided between the two school systems after deducting <br /> for expenses, as provided in the North Carolina <br /> Statutes. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution. <br />
