Box 8181 <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 • Phone: 919-732-9361 • Ext. 451 <br /> March 27, 1989 <br /> TO: Emily Crudup, ASLA Planner II <br /> FROM: Gail&Hughes, Soil Conservationist <br /> RE: Sykes Glen, Phase 3 <br /> According to the Orange County Soil Survey, the following soils <br /> are located on this tract: <br /> Georgeville"B slope - has moderate limitations for septic tank <br /> absorption fields due to slow percolation, and slight limitations <br /> for dwellingswit4 or without basements. <br /> Georgeville C:slope - has moderate limitation for septic tank . <br /> absorption fields due to slow percolation and steeper slope, and <br /> has moderate limitations for dwellings due to steeper slope. <br /> Tatum D and E slopes - (found along stream) has severe limitations for <br /> septic tank absorption fields due to shallow rock depths and steep <br /> slopes, and has moderate to severe limitations for dwellings due to <br /> shallow rock depth, steep slopes, and low strength of soil. <br /> Congaree -(found in floodplain of stream) has severe limitations for <br /> both dwellings and septic tank absorption fields due to potential <br /> flooding. <br /> Please feel free to call if you have further questions. <br /> GMH:jw <br />
