Box 187 <br /> Mebane, NC 27302 <br /> 'Dear Turner! <br /> Please find enclosed copies of memos summarizing the <br /> February 14 and March 14th meetings of the parties involved <br /> in the Eno River Capacity Use Agreement. If you have any <br /> questions or comments regarding these summaries please <br /> advise. <br /> In this letter, I am including the terms I will <br /> present to the Board of County Commissioners by which the <br /> County may finance the costs of construction and equipment <br /> for the monitoring and controls required for operation of the <br /> Eno River system. under the conditions of the Capacity Use <br /> . Agreement. Those terms are as follows: <br /> 1 ) The County will assume the costs for modifying the <br /> Hillsborough flow monitoring station, for the <br /> construction of a weir at Lake Orange and for the <br /> installation of a water level gage in Lake Orange. <br /> 2) The County will advance the funds for the <br /> construction of weirs at Lake Ben Johnston and <br /> Corporation Lake and for the installation of water <br /> level gages at Lake Ben Johnston and Corporation <br /> Lake. <br /> 3) The costs for construction and equipment at Lake <br /> Ben Johnston and Corporation Lake will be repaid to <br /> the County by the Town of Hillsborough and the <br /> Orange-Alamance Water System over a three year <br /> • period in three equal yearly installments due <br /> January 1st of each year. There will be no interest <br /> charge accessed. <br /> 4) The costs for construction and equipment for Lake <br /> Ben- Johnston and Corporation Lake will be shared by <br /> Piedmont Minerals, the Town of Hillsborough and the <br /> Orange-Alamance Water System with each entities' <br /> share being determined by the proportion of each <br /> entities' water usage rate to the total combined <br /> usage of the three entities. <br /> . • <br />
