The <br /> total proposal consists of 424 acres and 18 lots of land on <br /> Chapel Hill Township Tax Maps 2, 9, and 14. <br /> This proposed amendment is divided into two requested <br /> classification changes. First, the proposal calls for 159 <br /> acres located near the I-40 interchange with New Hope Church <br /> Road to be redesignated from its current classification of <br /> Rural Buffer. The proposed land use designation for these . <br /> 159 acres is County Commercial Transition Activity Node. <br /> ' s a request for 265 acres <br /> also contain <br /> The proposed amendment a1 �! <br /> located north of New Hope Church Road. This area is proposed <br /> for redesignation from its current Rural Buffer <br /> classification to Agricultural Residential. <br /> This proposal falls within the jurisdiction of the Joint <br /> Planning Area for Orange County, Chapel Hill and Carrboro. <br /> Accordingly, all of these 424 acres are currently designated <br /> and zoned Rural Buffer in the Joint Land Use Plan. <br /> 1. <br />
