1.4 <br /> 151 <br /> 30 <br /> RESOLUTION B <br /> Planning Board Recommendation <br /> A RESOLUTION REZONING PROPERTY IN THE JOINT PLANNING TRANSITION <br /> AREA (88-8-22/R-6b) <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Orange County adopted a Joint <br /> Planning Agreement on November 2, 1987; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill and Orange County adopted the Joint Planning <br /> Land Use Plan on October 13, 1986; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Town Council adopted the Chapel Hill <br /> Land Use Plan on July 14, 1986; and <br /> WHEREAS, both. the Joint Planning and the Chapel Hill Land Use <br /> Plans are components of the Town's Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapel Hill's Transition Area is identified in the Joint <br /> Planning Agreement and the agreement calls for the application of <br /> Chapel Hill development standards within the Town's Transition <br /> Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the rezoning of the Chapel Rill Transition Area proper- k <br /> ties, as shown on the attached maps, would achieve the purposes <br /> of the Comprehensive Plan; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE, IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of <br /> Chapel Bill that the Council approves the proposed rezoning for <br /> the Joint Planning Agreement Transition Area from Orange County <br /> zoning to the Chapel Hill zoning designations identified on the <br /> attached maps and recommends that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners adopt this Zoning Atlas Amendment, such amendments <br /> being necessary to achieve the purposes of the Comprehensive <br /> Plan. <br /> This the 22nd day of August, 1988. <br /> • . <br />
