Orange County NC Website
tm, 15
Eugene Bell
13 February 1989
Page 2
We believe that these proposed amendments will carry out the intent
and purpose of the adopted Comprehensive Plan in conjunction with
zoning and planned development by locating development on an
interchange with 1-40 so that traffic will not be impacted on
adjacent residential areas. This will also provide an area of
services and supplies for the many homes built in the area as well
as may be built in the future.
(a) As per section 2 . 2 . 14 of the Orange County Zoning
ordinance, we offer the following:
The completion of the 1-40 corridor is probably the single major
change in the county which would make this proposed plan change
necessary. This will allow traffic to move in and out of the area
in a controlled manner. As Orange County continues to grow, the
increased number of single family residences on (2) acre lots will
give a need for service facilities that are locally available
without driving great distances for everyday needs.
•
(b) No error or omission has been made in the initial plan
this request is based on changing conditions only.
(c) No change in policies has been made in the initial plan
this request is based on changing conditions only.
We would appreciate your processing this application.
