This continuation <br /> 3 pilot program shall consist of: <br /> 4 (1) The continued funding of the position of Outreach Activities <br /> 5 Coordinator; <br /> 6 (2) The continued employment of a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist <br /> 7 for the position of Outreach Activities Coordinator to work in <br /> 8 coordination with the Orange County Department of Social <br /> 9 Services and the Orange County Parks and Recreation <br /> 10 Department; and <br /> 11 (3) An independent evaluation to be conducted to document the effect <br /> 12 of the continuation pilot program, and examine the impact of the <br /> 13 continuation pilot program in regard to the future establishment of <br /> 14 a statewide program. • <br /> 15 The duties of the Outreach Activities Coordinator for this continuation pilot program <br /> 16 shall consist of organizing and planning, implementations and evaluation of activities <br /> 17 based on the needs assessnients of the domiciliary residents, training andsupervising <br /> 18 students and volunteers to assist in program implementation, acting as a resource <br /> 19 person to home administrators, and developing•contacts with cothmuniekltsburces. <br /> 20 Sec. .2. There is•appropriated from the General- Fund' to the Orange <br /> 21 County Parks and Recreation Department the sum of thirty-five thousind dollars <br /> 22 ($35,000) for the 1989-90 fiscal year and the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars <br /> 23 ($35,000) for the 1990-91 fiscal year to fund the costs of personnel, equipment, and <br /> 24 evaluation needed to carry out this continued pilot program. <br /> 25 Sec. 3. The independent evaluator shall prepare an evaluation report and <br /> 26 present it to the 1991 General Assembly no later than February 1, 1991, <br /> 27 Sec. 4.
