Passmore <br /> • Proposal Summary TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> • • <br /> PURPOSE: Request approval to contract with North State tiegat Services to <br /> provide 44 hours of legal community education service through a series of <br /> 24 programs offered at Nutrition Sites, Senior Centers and the Agricultural <br /> Extension facility at a rate of $25.00 per hour. <br /> • • <br /> BACKGROUND: In order to pay for this service, Department on Aging has re- <br /> ceived III-S funding in the amount of $1, 500 to pay for this series. <br /> The Title III-S contract for Older Americans Act funds with Triangle J <br /> Council of Governments requires that these funds be spent on provision <br /> of Legal Services as defined by the N.0 Division of Aging. The balance <br /> of the Legal Services funding will be used to contract with private <br /> practice attorneys for their part in the Community Education Series. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve contract and authorize Chair to sign. <br />
