This <br /> task will be reviewed with County staff and will be coordinated with the <br /> County's Rural Character Study. The Engineer will coordinate the preparation <br /> and refinement of the County thoroughfare plan with State and local planners, <br /> and will strive to maintain consistency at boundaries with the Durham-Chapel <br /> Hill-Carrboro urban area, which is not included in this scope. No traffic <br /> modeling is included in this task. <br /> IgalLizSopegtor,ffigeolleetorigadjyatem <br /> The Engineer will refine the County-specific road classification to define <br /> collector and subcotlector streets. These will be designated to provide access <br /> and continuity of streets where appropriate throughout the County. <br /> Private road standards and policy will be reviewed and recommendations made. <br /> Task 4 - Review Article 13. <br /> The Engineer will review the County's proposed traffic impact study ordinance <br /> (Article 13) and make recommendations, as appropriate. <br /> Task 5 - Phase I Renort <br /> The Engineer will prepare a report summarizing the result of Phase I Tasks. <br /> This report will be reviewed with the Transportation Advisory Subcommittee <br /> prior to preparation of up to 10 copies in final forth, <br /> Phase II of Study <br /> Ink 6 - Review Transpocation Plan Elemeents, <br /> The Engineer will assemble reports on secondary roads, mass transit, bikeways, <br /> pedestrian facilities, airports, and rail facilities prepared by others (County staff <br /> and other consultants), review them for technical accuracy and consistency, and <br /> prepare a single comprehensive transportation plan document. <br /> CD-111 (01/88) 11 <br /> • <br />
