Because of resignations, the <br /> current membership is 19. At its meeting on February <br /> 22, the RCSC considered the issue of new members and <br /> requested that the attached list of potential members <br /> be sent to the County Commissioners for consideration <br /> on March 8. <br /> Because of agenda deadlines, it has not been possible <br /> to contact the people suggested for membership and <br /> assess their interest in RCSC membership or assemble <br /> the background data normally considered by the <br /> Commissioners when making such appointments. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: There are two options available: <br /> 1) The Commissioners can decide on the appointments <br /> and instruct staff to contact those chosen and ask <br /> if they will serve; or <br /> 2) The Commissioners can receive the attached <br /> materials as information and instruct staff to <br /> assemble more in-depth biographical data and <br /> bring back for decision at a subsequent <br /> meeting. <br /> DK3:NEWMBRS.DOC <br />
