Hill - 967-9251 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive public comment on proposed Zoning Ordinance <br /> text amendments combining sections of the Permitted <br /> Use Table to eliminate duplication of text. <br /> BACKGROUND: Sections 542 through S47 of the Permitted Use Table of <br /> the Zoning Ordinance pertain to Retail Trade. <br /> Sections S42 through S44 refer to "Retail Trade, <br /> . Sales, Rental of Convenience Goods, Merchandise, and <br /> Equipment. . . " broken down to low, medium, and high <br /> traffic impact. Sections 545 through S47 refer to <br /> "Retail Trade, Sales and Rental of Durable Goods, <br /> Merchandise and Equipment. . . " broken down to low, <br /> medium, and high traffic impact. If the words <br /> "Durable Goods" were added to Sections S42 through <br /> S44, then Sections 545 through S47 could be deleted. <br /> The amendment would simplify and clarify the Retail <br /> Trade Section of the Ordinance. <br /> There is also a typographical error in Section S43 of <br /> the Ordinance. Medium traffic generation should read <br /> 200-800 trips/day instead of 200-300 trips/day. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Department recommends approval of the <br /> proposed amendment. <br /> 410 <br />
