251 <br /> 110 PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> ORDINANCE: Zoning Ordinance <br /> REFERENCE: Article 7.20.2 - Area Requirements for <br /> Establishment of District <br /> Article 22 - Definitions <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: X Staff Planning Board <br /> BOCC Public <br /> Other: <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION: _X_High Middle Low <br /> Comment: Major Amendment <br /> Expected Public Hearing Date: February 27, 1989 <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: To amend Article 7 .20.2 of the ' <br /> Zoning Ordinance by clearly <br /> identifying a size limit for mobile <br /> home parks and to make the definition <br /> of "mobile home park" in Article 22 <br /> consistent with Article 7.20.2. <br /> IMPACTS/ISSUES: In March of 1987, the Zoning Ordinance was <br /> • amended to include requirements for the <br /> Planned Development - Mobile Home Park <br /> District. At that time the maximum area for <br /> a mobile home park was set at twenty-five. <br /> (25) acres. The cap was increased to fifty <br /> (50) acres in October 1988, following a <br /> recommendation from the Low and Moderate <br /> Income Housing Task Force. <br /> When applying the amended version of Article <br /> 7.20.2, the Planning Staff encountered <br /> difficulty in interpreting the maximum size <br /> requirement for mobile home parks. The <br /> Ordinance Review Committee suggested that <br /> the size limit should be based on the number <br /> of units, not the total number of acres in <br /> the planned development. <br /> Existing ordinance provisions allow units to <br /> 111 <br />
