The conversion is a continuation of the <br /> project begun in 1987 to change all County <br /> addresses to permanently assigned house numbers. <br /> To date, eight Rural Routes have been converted <br /> (Chapel Hill routes 2,5,8,11 and 15; Rougemont <br /> routes 2 and 3; and Hurdle Mills route 1) . <br /> Rural Route 13 (Partial/Smith Level Road) Chapel <br /> Hill consists of that portion of Smith Level Road <br /> southward from NC 54 Bypass to Chatham County, and <br /> including Clarence Drive. <br /> • General Statute 153A-240 requires that a Public <br /> Hearing be held on the proposed house and building <br /> numbers to be assigned. Notices have been sent to <br /> 411 all affected residents and posted in the Courthouse <br /> and two other public places within the proposed <br />
