The conversion <br /> is a continuation of the project begun in 1987 to <br /> change all County addresses to permanently assigned <br /> house numbers. To date, eight Rural Routes have been <br /> converted (Chapel Hill routes 2,5,8,11 and 15; <br /> Rougemont routes 2 and 3; and Hurdle Mills route 1) . <br /> Hillsborough Rural Route 1 consists of that portion <br /> of St. Mary's Road northeastward from New Sharon Church <br /> Road to Durham County, and including Dumont Drive, Oak <br /> Knob Court, Cedar Trail and Stagg Road. Also included <br /> are that portion of Guess Road from Durham County to <br /> Walker's Farm Road, including Summer Lane and Deerfield <br /> Road; westward along Walker's Farm Road to New Sharon <br /> Church Road, including Devonwood Road, Lansdale Road, <br /> Island Road and Russell Circle; then south along New <br /> Sharon Church Road to Schley Road and including Richard <br /> Lane. <br /> General Statute 153A-240 requires that a Public Hearing <br /> be held on the proposed house and building numbers to <br /> be assigned. Notices have been sent to all affected <br /> residents and posted in the Courthouse and two other <br />
