Department on Aging 4. Describe your pleas to recognize and publicize the work of the VISTA Volunteers,community volunteers recruited,and private sector support received. VISTA volunteers will be publicized through several county publications such as the County Employee's Newsletter, the Department on Aging Quarterly Newspaper. Monthly Senior Center Calendar and RSVP Newsletter. Local newspaper coverage will be requested for the project. Special Brochure will likely be developed to inform the public and low income community of improved transportation service efforts. • • S. Describe how your organization and/or other community agencies will provide on-thsyob training and technical assistance to the VISTA Volunteers as needed to cony out their assignments. The project Director will provide on the job technical assistance to the VISTA volunteers as needed. If required and beneficial, the VISTA Volunteer will be enrolled in a local Community College course directly related to their assignments. Specific on the job training will include: ( 1) Overview of Orange County and County government policies and procedures. (2) Review of existing community services.
