Presentation of Orange County Arts Commission grant awards <br /> 2. Informational report to the Board regarding activities and goals <br /> of the Arts Commission <br /> BACXGROUND: The Orange County Arts Commission was created by a resolution from the <br /> Board of County Commissioners on February 4, 1985. The Arts Commission is the <br /> official county-wide advisory body on the arts. Its primary goals are: (1) serve <br /> as the Local Distributing Agent of State grassroots grant funds for Orange County; <br /> (2) serve as .a "clearinghouse" for information on the arts; (3) facilitate the <br /> development of self sustaining arts programs; and (4) advise the Board of County <br /> Commissioners on matters involving the arts. <br /> The Arts Commission greatly appreciates the support from the Board and requests <br /> continued support and financial assistance in promoting arts programs and arts <br /> awareness throughout the County. <br /> • _ . <br /> The-attached-listing reflects County fun ad appropriated to-the-Arts Commtssion. <br /> The Chair of the Board will-present-grant'sWards. - <br /> • • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br />
