Objectives for <br /> accomplishing the goal were subsequently identified at <br /> a County Management Retreat in January, 1988. During <br /> the same month, the goal and objectives as well as a <br /> draft policy were introduced at an Interjurisdictional <br /> Water Seminar at the Institute of Government. <br /> The proposed Water/Sewer Policy was organized around <br /> the following five goal statements: <br /> Goal 1 - Water Supply <br /> Provide clean and safe raw water supplies available and <br /> adequate to meet the current and future needs of the <br /> Orange County residents. <br /> Goal 2 - Sewage Disposal <br /> Provide adequate and appropriate sewage disposal <br /> facilities for current and future Orange County <br /> residents. <br /> Goal 3 - Urban Development <br /> Establish an urban development pattern compatible with <br /> the goal of directing urban growth to areas where it is <br /> desirable and can be practically and efficiently served <br />
