CONTRACT FOR SE 1559/STATE III-D SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES <br /> The Triangle .3 Council of Governments (hereinafter referred to as "COG") <br /> arlit Orange County, a unit of local government, for the Orange County Department <br /> of Aging (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor" or Agency") In consid- <br /> eration of the mutual covenants and promises contained in this Grant Agreement <br /> agree as follows: <br /> • <br /> WITNESSETH THAT : <br /> WHEREAS, COG desires to engage the Agency to render certain social <br /> services (hereinafter described in connection with an undertaking or project and <br /> referred to as the "Project") which is to be wholly cr partially financed by a <br /> grant ftwom the N.C. Division of Aging (hereinafter, along with the appropriate <br /> auditing agency of the entity making such grant, referred to as the "concerned <br /> Funding Agency or Agencies"), said grant being a Contract for Ste 1559/STATE <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL SE ft VIC ES (hereinafter referred to as "Grant") and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency desires to render such services in connection with <br /> the Proct: <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and the mutual <br /> convenants and agreements hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as <br /> follows: <br /> 1.• Employment of the Agency. COG hereby agrees to engage the <br /> - Agency and the Agency hereby agrees to perform the services hereinafter set <br /> forth in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. <br /> • <br /> 2 Local Support. In accepting this contract providing for $8.87d of the <br /> state finds, the Agency agrees to provide not less than $_24.4.._ of acceptable <br /> matching cash and acceptable in-kind contributions. <br /> 3. Scope .of Services. Agency shall do, perform and carry out in a <br /> satisfactory and proper manner the work and services described in Attachment <br /> "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> 4. Time of Performance. The services of the agency are to commence no <br /> later than fifteen (15) days after the execution of this contract and shall be <br /> undertaken and pursued in such sequence as to assure their expeditious <br /> completion and as may be required in Attachment "A". All services required <br /> hereunder shall be completed on cr before June 30, 1989. <br /> 5. Compensation and Method of Payment.
