Hill - 967-9251 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive a resolution from the Planning Board <br /> concerning the scope and geographic focus of the <br /> Orange County Rural Character Study. <br /> BACKGROUND: At the December 19, 1988 meeting of the Planning Board <br /> a status report on the Rural Character Study was given <br /> by the Planner III in charge of coordination. Several <br /> Planning Board members expressed concern over recent <br /> newspaper articles which implied differing views on <br /> the part of Commissioners and RCS Committee members as <br /> to the scope and geographic focus of the study. <br /> Upon conclusion of the discussion, the Planning Board <br /> adopted the following resolution: <br /> The Orange County Planning Board urges the Board of <br /> County Commissioners to support the original purpose <br /> of the Rural Character Study as embodied in the <br /> Request for Proposals and in the approved contract <br /> with the consultant, Lane Kendig. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Receive as information. <br />
