Second, a clarifying <br /> amendment concerning the elevation or floodproofing of <br /> electrical and mechanical equipment should be added to <br /> Article 4 Section 4. 1(a) . <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Marshall to refer this item to the Planning Board for a <br /> recommendation to be brought back to the Board of Commissioners no <br /> sooner than January 3, 1989. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 6. EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS <br /> a. Erosion Control Manual <br /> The presentation was made by Warren Faircloth, Erosion <br /> Control Officer. <br /> The proposed manual (copies distributed previously) is <br /> an effort to compile requirements and standards for <br /> designing site plans, for erosion control techniques and <br /> devices and for presenting the erosion control plan. <br /> The primary purposes of the Manual are: to formalize <br /> erosion control standards; to have the standards in <br /> written form and make them accessible to designers of <br /> developments in Orange County; to improve the <br /> effectiveness of erosion control techniques and devices; <br /> to be more consistent in the application of requirements <br /> and standards; and to improve the overall effectiveness <br /> of the County's erosion control program. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br /> • Commissioner Willhoit to refer this item to the Planning Board for a <br /> recommendation to be brought back to the Board of Commissioners no - <br /> -. sooner than January 3, 1989. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> b.
