Compiling the <br /> manual involved: collecting available standards and <br /> information on current erosion control practice; <br /> writing standards using the material plus practical <br /> experience of the staff; writing guidelines for site <br /> design based on staff experience with past sites; <br /> writing guidelines for negotiating the development <br /> approval process; soliciting comments from engineers <br /> and others involved in erosion control; and revising <br />
