4 <br /> considered the proposed amendments and recomended <br /> approval of same with the following changes: <br /> 1. Delete Article 8.8.16.2 a) from the proposed <br /> amendment. <br /> 2. Revise Article 8.8.16.2 c) to read as follows: <br /> c) There is direct access from the property on <br /> which the day care facility is to be located to <br /> a State-maintained road or a private road <br /> approved by Orange County. Where direct access <br /> j . be provided to a day care facility from a <br /> Private road, the Board of Adiustment may <br /> require the upgrading of the private road to a <br /> higher classification, based on the number of <br /> homes currently served by the road and the <br /> projected traffic to be generated by the day <br /> care facility. The appropriate road <br /> classification shall be determined by the <br /> standards contained in the Orange County Private <br /> Road Standards. <br /> (Proposed additions are underlined. ) <br /> 3. Add, as the last paragraph of Article 8.8. 16.2, the <br /> following: <br /> Each application for a day care facility approved <br /> by the Board of Adjustment shall be reviewed <br /> annually by the Planning Department to assure <br /> compliance with the standards of evaluation for <br /> such facilities and any conditions attached to the <br /> application by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the proposed <br /> amendments per the Planning Board's recommendation with <br /> two changes. First, the last sentence of #2(c) above <br /> should be worded to read as follows: <br /> The appropriate road classification shall be determined <br /> according to the Orange County Subdivision Regulations <br /> Private Road Standards. <br /> Second, #3 above should be worded to read as follows: <br /> Each application for a day care facility approved <br /> by the Board of Adjustment shall be reviewed <br /> annually by the Zoning Officer to assure compliance <br /> with the standards of evaluation for such facilities <br /> and any conditions attached to the application by the <br /> Board of Adjustment.
