Memorandum
To: Board of Commissioners
From: John Link, County Manager
Date: April 3, 2002
Re: Greene Tract Sewer Feasibility Survey
During the past several months, the Greene Tract Work Group has continued
to work toward development of a conceptual plan map for the remaining
jointly-owned portion of the Greene Tract. The Work Group has made great
progress toward this end, as a resolution from the Work Group (to be shared
with the Board next week) will show.
•
As the Work Group completes discussion of final issues, one important piece
of information is needed - a survey to determine sewer feasibility for a
potential corridor, from the terminus of existing OWASA sewer lines to a
portion of the Greene Tract which would be proposed for future affordable
housing. This survey will enable the Work Group to make a more-
knowledgeable recommendation on which portions of the site can be served.
To accomplish this task in a timely fashion, we would ask the Board to
authorize staff to contract for professional services for the sewer survey,
consistent with the attached resolution.
