I then <br />moved into forest resources and eventually into an academic position at two major <br />research universities, North Carolina State University and Texas A&M. <br />Volunteer Experience: <br />Having retired earlier in 2005, 1 am now seeking participation in municipal government. <br />My wife and I are outdoor enthusiasts and work with the Neuse River Foundation, the NC <br />Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh as well as stay involved in our neighborhood <br />association. <br />Education: <br />I have a masters and doctoral degree in forestry, from Oklahoma State University with 30 <br />years of teaching, research and practice. <br />Other Comments: <br />My life experience includes renovation of six houses, recovering damaged houses after <br />hurricanes, repair of machinery and vehicles and gardening, STAFF COMMENTS: <br />Originally applied for OWASA, Commission for the Environment, and Recreation and <br />Parks Advisory Council.
