0 <br />Justification: <br />An increase in Hillsborough Elementary capacity of 100 was completed prior to the start of the 2003-04 <br />school year in accordance with the CIP. However, due to continuing renovations within the school, <br />the full capacity of 514 student seats was not achieved until the 2005-2006 school year <br />The above numbers reflect school capacity without consideration of State-directed class size reductions in <br />grades K-3. <br />Representatives of County and both school governing boards have recommended that the lower State-directed <br />class size reductions at the elementary level be implemented with the opening of the next new elementary <br />school in Orange County, anticipated now to be CHCCS Elementary #10 in 2008-09. <br />Capacity Certification: <br />Superintendent Date BOCC Chair Date <br />Membership Certification: <br />Superintendent Date BOCC Chair Date <br />Special Note: For the November 15, 2002 base year the board accepted the superintendent-certified capacities as part of the School Facilities task <br />force review and 2003 Planners and School Representative Technical Advisory Committee Report Huse capacities will remain effective until changed <br />by (1) the School CIP or (2) an amended version of this form that is certified by the BOCC
