3 <br /> The addition of a County road (partial) to the State Maintained Secondary Road System, and <br /> abandonment of a closed County road (partial) is in the public interest and results in positive <br /> outcomes related to the aforementioned goal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) Forward the Petition for Addition to the State Maintained System to the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation for Eubanks Road — SR 1727 (partial); <br /> 2) Recommend the NCDOT accept the road (partial) for maintenance as State Secondary <br /> Roads; and <br /> 3) Adopt the Resolution requesting that the NCDOT execute abandonment of SR1727 — <br /> Eubanks Road (Partial) (Attachment 8). <br />
