Decision made to have hearings on an as-needed basis by <br /> 27 converting joint meeting dates to 3-party hearings. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Current Joint Planning Area <br /> 30 • Rural Buffer (approx. 37,000 acres) <br /> 31 • Carrboro Transition Areas (1 and 2) (496 acres & 1,258 acres, respectively) <br /> 32 • Chapel Hill Transition Area (274 acres remain, ETJ authority extended over Roger Road <br /> 33 area in late 2015) <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Possible Amendments to JPA Map <br /> 36 • Amendments are not interlinked <br /> 37 • Being pursued together due to required process of joint public hearing and separate <br /> 38 action by the three jurisdictions, including respective Planning Board recommendations <br /> 39 • Four geographic areas: <br /> 40 o Millhouse Road <br /> 41 o Sunrise Road <br /> 42 o Old Lystra Road <br /> 43 o Highway 54 West <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Possible Map Amendments <br /> 46 • Millhouse Road Park (78.2 acres), 3 parcels owned by Town of Chapel Hill (6.3 acres), <br /> 47 and 2.2 acres of road right-of-way <br /> 48 o From Rural Buffer to Chapel Hill ETJ <br /> 49 o Would allow proposed park to be served by public water and sewer of <br /> 50 WASMPBA is also amended <br /> 51 • Town of Chapel Hill's Operation Facility, northern portion of parcel (32.2 acres) <br />
