7 <br /> 1 Commissioner Marcoplos said it is interesting to hear that there are people who stay <br /> 2 longer than 180 days, and this information should be passed onto State representatives with the <br /> 3 intent that exceptions might be given for medical situations. <br /> 4 Commissioner Price agreed, and noted that the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> 5 Development (HUD) does not recognize tiny homes. She said she would like to see this <br /> 6 challenged, as tiny homes are a good option. <br /> 7 Michael Harvey, Planning, reminded the Board that if it approves the amendment, it is <br /> 8 approving the revision to page 46, and the striking of sub-section 2 on page 52. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to <br /> 11 close the public hearing. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 14 <br /> 15 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> 16 amend the amendment as stated below: <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The revision of page 46, allowing single-family residences in the home park, and to strike 5.5.4 <br /> 19 subsection 2-C on page 56. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 22 <br /> 23 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> 24 adopt the proposed amendments (as amended) by approving the Statement of Consistency <br /> 25 (Attachment 5) and Ordinance (Attachment 6). <br /> 26 <br /> 27 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 28 <br /> 29 E. Introduction to Potential Joint Planning Amendments —To receive a presentation <br /> 39 on possible amendments to the Orange County— Chapel Hill — Carrboro Joint <br /> 40 Planning Land Use Plan and Agreement. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 BACKGROUND: Planning staffs of the three local government jurisdictions that are party to the <br /> 43 "Joint Planning Agreement," as it is commonly called, have been discussing possible <br /> 44 amendments to the Land Use Plan to better align with various local government goals and <br /> 45 policies, including the Water and Sewer Management, Planning, and Boundary Agreement <br /> 46 (WASMPBA) (WASMPBA is also the subject of a separate agenda item). <br /> 47 <br /> 48 The map in Attachment 1 depicts the possible amendments to the Land Use Plan (the current <br /> 49 version of which is included in Attachment 4).
