22 <br />Operate roll-off truck to collecting recyclable materials in roll-off containers from 24-hour <br />recycling drop-off sites and from solid waste convenience centers. Deliver containers to <br />recycling processing area at Orange County Landfill and deliver paper directly to market. Assist <br />in performing clean up of serviced sites, Maintain roll-offs as needed, greasing doors and <br />wheels. Empty trash collected on Landfill property in roll-off containers. Act as back up to all <br />other solid waste collectors. <br />Position #29 Solid Waste Collector <br />Operate front-end loading recycling truck to collect recyclable materials, primarily paper, in <br />dumpsters from 24-hour recycling drop-off sites and fiom solid waste convenience centers. <br />Deliver collected materials directly to market. Assist in performing clean-up of serviced sites, <br />including spilled and overflowing materials. Maintain dumpsters as needed, replacing damaged <br />or missing lids and signs. Act as back up to all other solid waste collectors. <br />Position #30 Solid Waste Collector <br />Operate six-compartment recycling truck to collect recyclable materials from multifamily <br />complexes and other sites where recyclables are collected in carts. Inspect contents of carts as <br />collected to ensure quality of collected materials, verify proper sorting, and identify and remove <br />contaminants. Work in field to resolve contamination issues with management of serviced sites.. <br />Clean up any spilled or overflowing materials. Deliver collected materials recycling processing <br />area at Orange County Landfill. Maintain and replace carts as needed, replacing damaged or <br />missing lids, bars and labels. Act as back up to all other solid waste collectors. <br />Position 931 Solid Waste Collector <br />Operate six-compartment recycling truck to collect recyclable materials from bars, restaurants, <br />multifamily complexes, and other sites where recyclables are collected in carts. Inspect contents <br />of carts as collected to ensure quality of collected materials, verify proper sorting, and identify <br />and remove contaminants. Work in field to resolve contamination issues with management of <br />serviced sites. Clean up any spilled or overflowing materials. Sort <br />materials into compartments on truck, keeping paper separate fiom other containers. Maintain <br />accurate count of number of households serviced. Clean up any spilled or overflowing materials <br />in field, Deliver collected materials to recycling processing area at Orange County Landfill <br />Deliver materials to market using roll-off truck as needed. Act as back up to all other solid waste <br />collectors.
