16 <br />cover is available at the working face for the covering of the MSW on a daily basis and/or <br />applying an approved alternate daily cover. <br />Position #19 Landfill Equipment Operator <br />This position's primary responsibility is to assist in the processing of the vegetative waste by <br />movement of material to the Horizontal Grinder and assist with the movement of material for <br />daily cover. It is in charge of movement of unprocessed material to the grinder and initial <br />stockpiling of material after grinding. It also helps with the movement and placement of material <br />necessary for daily cover. It also is a rotating relief position that fills in for other operators during <br />their breaks and lunch hours. <br />Position #20 Landfill Equipment Operator <br />This position's Primary responsibility is to process and load material for sale and to assist the <br />public in the management of metal, white goods, and cardboard. It is in charge of loading <br />processed material into over the road trailers and insuring the proper segregation of materials as <br />required by our ordinance and the request of our vendors. It assists the public in the unloading of <br />materials within the proper areas and does the preliminary processing of most of these materials. <br />Position #21 Solid Waste Materials Transfer Operator <br />This position is responsible for operating over the road tractor-trailer vehicles to transport <br />various materials and products to market (boiler fuel, mulch, scrap metal, white goods, etc.). <br />Transports to market the separated regulated recyclables generated from the construction and <br />demolition waste or other reusable materials delivered to the landfill. Operates any equipment <br />necessary to transport, manage and process recyclable materials, including over the road tractor <br />trailers, roll-off trucks, forklifts, bobcat type loader, compactors, balers and the like. <br />Communicates with buyers/receivers of materials about the specifications and delivery <br />requirements. Performs maintenance on vehicles and ensures equipment is functioning properly. <br />Maintains awareness of market specifications to improve product quality. Maintains logbooks <br />and operating records as required by the Department of Transportation. <br />Position #22 Solid Waste Enforcement Supervisor <br />The duties of the Solid Waste Enforcement Supervisor are divided into four areas: enforcement <br />of the Regulated Recyclable Material Ordinance, development reviews, coordinator of the Solid <br />Waste Department safety program, and supervision of a Recycling Specialist. The position: <br />Issues licenses, permits and certifications, <br />Maintains and develops tools for the enforcement of the RRMO, such as a database of all <br />licensees that allows renewal notices for licensees to issued, citations to be tracked, and all <br />correspondence and financial transactions to be detailed. Another database tracks the <br />disposition of all verification tags issued by the Recycling Specialist, <br />Approves/issues on Recyclable Material (RM) permits issued by the county. RM permits <br />requiring deconstruction assessment are referred to the Recycling Specialist,
