In crawlspace/basement of house, remove partition walls and paneling at <br />four walls, complete. Remove ceiling paneling to existing floor framing. <br />At same area, remove floor tiles, and leave area broom-clean. NOTE: <br />After partition walls and ceiling materials are removed, if further damage <br />is discovered the Owner, Contractor and Rehabilitation Specialist will <br />meet to review the work, determine a course of action and, if necessary, a <br />cost for any additional work, hl remainder of entire crawlspace, remove <br />all debris to a size large enough to be raked. <br />B. SUB-AREA CLEANUP & TERMITE REPORT/TREATMENT <br />I. Chemically treat entire perimeter of house for termite and pest control. <br />Chemical treatment to be done by a licensed termite or pest control <br />company. Contractor to provide owner with written proof and warranty of <br />treatment. <br />2. Supply and install 6-mil plastic vapor barrier throughout entire sub-area of <br />house so as to provide moisture protection. <br />C. FOUNDATION <br />1. In sub-area of house, provide temporary support adjacent to existing screw <br />jack/beam supports, and at two existing block/brick piers near left center <br />of house. Remove existing screw jack/beam supports and three wood <br />girders. Supply and install new concrete pads, new adjustable screw jacks, <br />and two new girders to stabilize existing floor. One new girder to be at <br />mid-span of floor joists under Living Room and approx. 16 H, The other <br />new girder to be within 1 I.f of the front foundation wall and approx 36 <br />l.f.. Remove two existing block/brick piers, level-off soil immediately <br />under piers and prepare these two areas for installation of new concrete <br />block piers. Supply and install two new concrete block piers at same <br />locations, including structural connections to existing floor framing.
