11 <br /> • August 29 , 1993 <br /> Dear Mr . Stancil , <br /> On August 12 , 1993 I wrote a letter opposing the <br /> Comprehensive Plan Amendment CP-3-93 , submitted by Mr . Bobby <br /> Kirk . I continue to oppose the re-designation of a 1/4 mile <br /> radius of the intersection of Bradshaw Quarry Rd . and Orange <br /> Grove Rd . to Rural Neighborhood Activity Node from <br /> Agricultural-Residential . However , I understand that <br /> thought is being given to only re-designating a portion of <br /> that area (3-5 acres , not a 1/4 mile radius) and Mr . Kirk <br /> hopes to put his country store on the southwest corner of <br /> that intersection. <br /> While I continue to oppose the construction of a country <br /> store at that intersecetion for the reasons outlined in my <br /> previous letter , if the Board approves for Mr . Kirk to <br /> construct his store at that intersection, I would support <br /> both the placement of the store at the southwest corner and <br /> only re-designating 3-5 acres (or less) as opposed to a 1/4 <br /> mile radius. <br /> Re-designating a smaller area would help to prevent <br /> further construction of commercial activity, preserving. the <br /> rural beauty and safety of this area.
