Assures communication about the employee' s job <br /> performance occurs between the employee and the <br /> supervisor. <br /> 3. Establishes expected standards for the work including <br /> those for timeliness, quantity and quality. <br /> 4 . Establishes accountability for the work. <br /> 5 . Through the work planning process: <br /> -Involves the employee in determining what is <br /> to be done and the priority. <br /> -Establishes an understanding of what is to <br /> be done between the employee and the supervisor. <br /> -Ties the employee' s performance to the goals <br /> of the department and the County. <br /> 6. Supports organizational change when needed such as <br /> the customer service initiative or compliance with blood <br /> borne pathogen requirements. <br /> 7 . Supports personnel decision making such as for <br /> promotion. <br /> 8 .
