The definition of Critical Area in Article 22 Definitions differs from the description <br /> of the Critical Area description in Article 4.2 (Intent and Application Criteria). <br /> The Critical Area is proposed to extend one-half mile from the normal pool elevation of <br /> the reservoir, or to the ridgeline of the watershed, whichever is less. This definition is <br /> correctly reflected in Article 4.2.27b) Watershed Protection Overlay Districts - <br /> Application Criteria, which includes a description of the location of each overlay district. <br /> The Critical Area definition provided in Article 22 (Definitions) in the draft text <br /> presented for public hearing was incorrect, and has been revised to be consistent with <br /> Article 4.2.27b). <br /> RECOMMENDATION - The Planning Staff recommends that the Critical Area be <br /> defined as follows: The land area within one-half mile of the normal pool of an existing <br /> or proposed watersupply impoundment or the ridgeline of the watershed, whichever is <br /> less. <br /> 15 <br />
