Overlay Districts <br /> Two overlay districts are proposed for Cane <br /> Creek: <br /> a)CAf E-CA - The Cane Creek Critical <br /> Area Overlay District that is located 1/2 <br /> mile from the normal pool of Cane Creek <br /> Reservoir, or to the ridge line of the <br /> watershed,whichever is less. <br /> b)CANE-PW- The Cane Creek Protected <br /> Watershed Overlay District that is <br /> located in that portion of the drainage <br /> basin not covered by the CANE-CA <br /> District <br /> 2. Land Use Restrictions <br /> The following land use activities allowed in <br /> the underlying zoning district are prohibited <br /> by the respective overlay zones: <br /> a)C.4NE-C4 - No new landfills are <br /> permitted; no sludge application is <br /> permitted; &no commercial or industrial <br /> uses are permitted.. <br /> b)CANE--PW-No discharging landfIlls are 'Continue to prohibit all commercial or <br /> permitted; Industrial use is limited to industrial land uses throughout the Cane <br /> non- hazardous light industrial uses Creek Watershed - <br /> characterized by low water use (less than <br /> 100,000 gpd per employee) and water <br /> used for heating and air conditioning. <br /> 3. Setbacks "existing setback requirements of 300 feet <br /> The requirement that septic tanks and their for septic systems & 150 feet for structures <br /> nitrification fields be located at least 100' should remain in place along the shorelines <br /> from perennial or intermittent streams is of University Lake & Cane Creek <br /> required by the State mandate, and has been Reservoir & along the perennial streams <br /> moved to Article 6.23.10 'Water discharging-to these impoundments <br /> _ Supply/Sewage Disposal Facilities". <br /> The requirement for 300' septic setbacks and <br /> 150' building setbacks in Critical Areas is <br /> proposed to be deleted. <br /> RECEIVED FROM 919 968 7728 • P. 4 <br />
