Closed Session <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> adjourn into closed session at 9:56 p.m. for the purposes below: <br /> "To discuss the County's position and to instruct the County Manager and County Attorney on <br /> the negotiating position regarding the terms of a contract to purchase real property," NCGS § <br /> 143-318.11(a)(5). <br /> Closed Session Minutes <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Burroughs, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs <br /> to reconvene into regular session at 10:20 p.m. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> The Board went into open session to be able to ask specific questions about this proposed <br /> acquisition and financing options. <br /> Chair Dorosin said if OCS uses monies from their CIP to purchase this property, what <br /> will happen to their facilities maintenance schedule. <br /> Pam Jones said they would reallocate funds over a negotiated period of time and that <br /> way they would be able to manage within their existing CIP. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs asked what this proposed acquisition would actually be used <br /> for. <br /> Dr. Wirt said: <br /> Building 1: <br /> • One stop shop from an enrollment standpoint for families to access OCS services, <br /> such as nutrition services. This would free up some space at Orange High School <br /> Building 2: <br /> • Alternative learning school (100-150 students) whereas their current Partnership <br /> Academy's capacity is approximately 40 students <br /> • Evening academy— grades 9-12 <br /> Annex: <br />
