Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan <br /> Spill Reporting Procedures <br /> Any time oil spills at Chapel Hi] ] Ouarry and there is a <br /> chance that it will reach any surface water leaving the property, <br /> do the following : <br /> 1 . Immediately call the National Response Center (NRC) , U. S. <br /> Coast Guard, Washington, D. C. at the following number: <br /> 1 - 800 - 424 - 8802 <br /> This is the number of the Duty Officer who will require tre <br /> following information : <br /> a) Name of person reporting <br /> b) Position of person reporting <br /> c) Company name and address <br /> d) Telephone number <br /> The following specific information is also imperative and <br /> must be reported in addition to the above information. <br /> The key word is LAND. <br /> L - Location of spill by street address, property <br /> legal description, mileage and direction from <br /> city or by direction from other well-known <br /> permanent structure. <br /> A - Estimate of amount spilled. <br /> N - Nature of material spilled. <br /> D - Distance of spill from nearest water body which <br /> could receive spill and leave property. <br /> The (NRC) Duty Officer will have an On-Scene Coordinator <br /> (OSC) return your call for further information. The OSC <br /> is an officer of the Coast Guard or EPA in your immediate <br /> area. You are to advise him of the above listed data and <br /> action regarding your spill cleanup procedures. A11 <br /> spills of any type must be reported. <br />
