The existing OWASA Quarry Reservoir is located on SR 1104 across from the existing quarry <br /> activities. Access to the reservoir can be obtained from US 54 or from a drive shared with the <br /> existing asphalt plant operations. <br /> Access to the quarry is currently provided on NC 54 at a drive located approximately 300 feet <br /> west of the NC 54/SR 1104 intersection. A second access is provided for employees and visitors <br /> on SR 1104. This access is not used by haul trucks. Also on SR 1104, north of the active quarry <br /> pit, is an access haul road. Access to the existing Nello Teer asphalt plant is located on SR 1104. <br /> Both SR 1104 and NC 54 are two-lane thoroughfares. SR 1104 is a north-south roadway <br /> providing access from SR 1009 to NC 54, NC 54 is an east-west roadway linking Burlington to <br /> the west, and Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Cary and Raleigh to the east. <br /> 1-3 <br />
