This plan includes an Annual Plan, a Five <br /> Year Plan, a detailed examination of each public housing site, and <br /> prioritizes all renovations. Because it is in the poorest <br /> condition of the 12 locations, the Ridgefield complex will be the <br /> first to undergo major rehabilitation and modernization. For the <br /> majority of the public housing locations, the most critical <br /> renovations are lead based paint abatement, and accessibility <br /> improvement. The accessibility improvements are of extreme <br /> importance in units with elderly residents and among other <br /> improvements, includes the addition of grab bars to bathroom units . <br /> This Comprehensive Plan also addresses concerns raised by <br /> public housing residents and management.
