_•.. /C <br /> IL' EXHIBIT "D" <br /> COUNTY of ORANGE <br /> Department of Purchasing and Central Services <br /> Pamela K.Jones,Director <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br /> ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE FACILITY <br /> Orange County,North Carolina invites you to submit a proposal for architectural services associated <br /> with the proposed Public Works Vehicle Maintenance facility. <br /> THE SITE <br /> The maintenance facility will be built at the present public Works Department location on <br /> Highway 86N In Hillsborough. The Public Works complex is approximately 26+1- acres and contains <br /> the Public Works Administration building, the present maintenance garage and three storage <br /> structures, two of which are mobile classroom buildings abandoned by the schools several years <br /> ago. It is the County's intent to convert the current garage into a storage facility and remove the two <br /> mobile classrooms. <br /> The access to the Public Works operation is currently located off of Highway 86 just below the crest <br /> of a hill, thereby creating a safety risk to all vehicles using the access, but particularly to the heavy <br /> dump and sanitation vehicles.
