The discussion the county <br /> commissioners have been having about building a swimming pool or <br /> better yet a combined swimming pool skating rink in Northern <br /> Orange County is very interesting to me . <br /> I grew up in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, which operates scores <br /> of outdoor pools in its parks and three indoor pools spread <br /> across the county. So I am acutely aware of the lack of public <br /> swimming pools in Orange County and especially Northern Orange <br /> County. <br /> I believe that a swimming pool skating rink complex would be a <br /> great resource for the children of Orange County. I know that <br /> the Milwaukee County pools provided a good outlet for my youthful <br /> energy and the energy of my five siblings . Most importantly, it <br /> was in those pools that we took swimming lessons and learned to <br /> swim. I still swim for exercise today some 35 years later . <br /> I urge you to support the swimming pool skating rink complex at <br /> the Meadowlands .
